There is some interesting work going on in advisory time.  Examples of this are:  Reg and Isaac have teamed up to make a model of a skate park that they can use “tech decks” on. Abbas has discovered a great computer programme named “Sketch Up” to design a soccer stadium in 3D.  The programme is sophisticated, but Abbas has taken on the challenge and is producing a professional looking design.

This morning Kyliesha conducted an experiment with Nicole Harris, the Lab technician, to test the solubility rates of aspirin and Panadol.

rock-art-weatheringParis has decided to look at a selection of mental illnesses which has led to deep discussions amongst the year eights about mental health and how to recognise and prevent or manage mental health conditions. Delilah is experimenting on the effect of weathering on tribal rock art. Below is a photo of her experiment.

Yule Brook College Wins:
High Achievement Award


The 2007 Dare to Lead Excellence in Leadership in Indigenous Education Awards were announced by the Hon. Julia Gillard, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, at a ceremony in Parliament House, Canberra on 14 March 2008.

YBC showed "...significant improvements in school enrolments and graduation rates plus a reduction in suspension rates over the past five years. There is evidence that both the student and community voice within the school is strong."
