The following students have commenced internships recently:

Student:    Ms Jaymie Mathers
Site:        Roleystone Recreation Centre.  Task: To appraise the health of an individual, plan and then conduct a fitness program to improve their fitness, health or wellbeing

Student:    Ms Jade Maryan
Site:        Le Chelle Hair and Beauty
Task:        To determine which make up products enhance a person’s features according to skin tones

Student:    Ms Heather Charters
Site:    Showcase Jewellers
Task:        To learn about customer service, displays, jewellery design and repairs

Student:    Mr Cody Cooper
Site:        Star Surf and Skate
Task:        To learn about retail and  maintenance of skating equipment

Site:        Cobra Martial Arts
Task:        Designing fitness programs using marital arts for different clients (children, women, men) and to learn about different martial arts for fitness

Yule Brook College Wins:
High Achievement Award


The 2007 Dare to Lead Excellence in Leadership in Indigenous Education Awards were announced by the Hon. Julia Gillard, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, at a ceremony in Parliament House, Canberra on 14 March 2008.

YBC showed "...significant improvements in school enrolments and graduation rates plus a reduction in suspension rates over the past five years. There is evidence that both the student and community voice within the school is strong."
